Arizona residents are taking advantage of our car donation program. If you’re looking to get rid of a car that doesn’t run, donating your vehicle to Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is convenient and free. It’s also a tax deduction solution for you and a benefit to your community.
What happens to your car after you donate it to charity?
When you donate your old vehicle, you essentially enable us to provide vital job training and employment connections to hundreds of thousands of individuals. What, to you, might just be an old beater that you haven’t had time to deal with, to someone else, could make all the difference in being able to start a new life.
After we pick up your donated vehicle, we auction it for sale, depending on what sort of condition it’s in when we receive it. Then, we take the resulting funds and invest them directly into local community programs that help local members of your community.
Do I need to do anything after my car has been donated?
Within 10 days after your vehicle has been donated, please submit a sold notice to the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department at www.servicearizona.com.
Is there a tax benefit to donating my car?
As a donor, we will send you a tax receipt in the mail a few days after your car has been donated. You can then use this receipt to claim a charitable contribution deduction.
