Whether it’s in your head or on a piece of paper, make a note of the items you’re searching for. If you’re looking for shoes, head to that area first. Having a list helps you focus when you’re in the store. Then, after you’ve found the items you came for, you can allow yourself some time to browse.
Shop clothing by color at Goodwill.
The women, men, and children clothing racks are conveniently organized by color. This makes it easy to find the colors you like for you and your family. Shop through your favorite colors in your size, first. Then, browse through the other colors to see if you spot something in a bold color or pattern.
Find furniture in the back.
If you don’t make your way through the entire store, you might miss some great furniture finds. They’re usually in the back of the Goodwill store or around the sides. You’re sure to find some awesome, gently used furniture pieces that still have some life left. The trick is to think creatively when shopping at your nearest thrift store.
