The month of February is American Heart Month, and Goodwill is recognizing the importance of saving lives through the education of heart disease. Goodwill of Central Arizona is partnering with the American Heart Association to raise awareness and funds to save and improve lives with research, education and emergency care.
Starting Thursday, February 9 through Saturday, February 11 purchase a red heart at any neighborhood Goodwill for $1. These proceeds will go to support the American Heart Association. Also during this time frame, Goodwill of Central Arizona will hold a change campaign where shoppers can round up their change to be donated to the American Heart Association.
Then join us on Saturday, March 18 in Downtown Phoenix for the 2017 Phoenix Heart Walk. You can help defeat heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases while enjoying some exercise as well! Find out how you can participate here.
Goodwill wants you to know how to prevent heart disease for yourself as well. See the below diagram of six popular foods that can add high levels of sodium to your diet.
