We’re proud to make reading and learning more accessible to the community with prices as low as a dollar per book. You might find some worn edges, marked pages, or scribbled notes on the pages, but we think this adds character. Get lost in the shelves of old book titles you might not find anywhere else.

Changing Hands Bookstore

A staple in the community, Changing Hands Bookstore offers new and used books at a variety of prices. They specialize in selling remainders, which are books that publishers weren’t able to sell and are sold at a discount of up to 60% off. Their used book donations are accepted from the community based on quality and demand, so you’ll likely find newer and classic titles at slightly higher prices than Goodwill. We’re all about shopping local and this great destination bookstore has served the Arizona community since the 1970s.

Amazon

It’s tempting to add Amazon’s penny books to your cart, but don’t forget about shipping! Browse the ‘Bargain Books’ section on Amazon and you’ll find tons of new and used books for prices ranging from a couple of dollars to some as low as 1 cent. The catch is that you’ll pay for shipping and you’ll have to wait a couple of days to receive your book.
